Hearts and Prayers
Our hearts and prayers are continually going out to all of those who have been devastated by Hurricane Katrina. This natural disaster is tragic and it's one of those cases in which I wish I had a million dollars...just so I could give it all away to every person (and I know it still wouldn't be enough) who has lost a friend or a family member in this terrible storm.
Prayer For New Orleans
As I sit in a comfortable chair
Typing on a convenient computer
In a comfortable office,
My heart is with those who have been destroyed,
Families and friends that have been torn apart
Because of a tragic storm.
I pray that with every tear that streams down their cheek,
They would sense your presence
They would feel your arms
Wrapped around their cold, wet bodies.
Be light where there is cold darkness
Be love where love has been tainted by pain,
And bless those you have created with
New joy. Let them feel your love forever.

Bryan, I'm so glad you're doing something constructive with your blog. I have read too many criticisms recently of the federal government and how it's all their fault. And people are even personally blaming Bush, like he purposefully entered Iraq so that Katrian would be more devestating. And I've read as much. These people are insane. I could go on for quite a bit on this subject, but people, please - let's help these people now and talk about it later.
