My Top 5 Posts of 2005

I didn't have a chance for a long update last night (12/31/2005), so I decided to post my top five favorite posts of 2005. There's some serious posts and some not so serious. By the way, I've noticed there aren't any comments lately. I realize this may be due in large part to the fact that I went two months without updating, and for that I apologize, but COME ON, PEOPLE! I'm back online now. And reread #1 (the order of the posts are according to my favorites) if you need to be reminded of the purpose of blogging.

And now...THE TOP FIVE POSTS OF 2005

5. WORSHIP AND PERFORMANCE (9/15/2005)

4. I'M AN IMPERFECT FATHER (9/6/2005)

3. I'M RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT (9/21/2005)

2. ON BEING PENTECOSTAl/CHARISMATIC (8/25/2005)

1. I'M A FAILED BLOGGER (8/25/2005)

Next year this time will see many more posts. Promise. Now comment, people!

I liked your post on being pentecostal/charismatic. That tension between having a powerful experience of the all-consuming Spirit of power and only applying that power to personal crises strikes me now and then at my pentecostal church. It's not an incorrect application so much as a smallminded one, but it's difficult (at least for me) to expand someone's definition of the Spirit's power to include both personal salvation and global redemption.
